Boating

Spend a day on the water of Vega Reservoir with the watersport of your choice! The reservoir is open to all watercraft including jet skis, wind surfing, and water skiing. Rent a pontoon boat for some fishing from the water. If you want something a little more active, try out a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe. Rentals are available at Vega Lodge and guests are welcome to bring their own gear as well.

Fishing

Vega Reservoir is the largest in the Grand Mesa area and draws fisherman from all over the state. It's known for its phenomenal coldwater fishing. Cast out a line and you can expect to reel in brown trout, cutbow trout and other coldwater fish varieties.

Off-Roading

Bring your all-terrain vehicles for some off-roading in Vega State Park. Set out on one of the trails surrounding Vega Reservoir on your four-wheelers, quad ATVs, and off-road cars for a day's ride. You will see wildlife including deer, marmots, and birds. ATVs are not available for rent at Vega Lodge and will need to be brought in by guests.
